Mark Mumford is the Enterprise Chief Operating Officer of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Children’s Health. He is a member of the Executive Cabinet, reporting to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ President and Chief Executive Officer R. Lawrence Moss, MD, FACS, FAAP. Mark is based at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Children’s Hospital, Delaware.

Mark joined ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ on September 1, 2020, and is responsible for all clinical operations at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Children’s Hospital, Delaware and ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Children's Health, Florida. He oversees the entire care continuum across the system, including all primary, specialty, ambulatory surgery, partnerships and community stakeholders across Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Florida. His efforts are in direct support of the vision of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ helping create the healthiest generations of children by going Well Beyond Medicine and addressing population health, prevention and wellness.

Mark is a multifaceted and visionary leader with 30 years of experience helping complex organizations accomplish strategic and operational objectives. Prior to joining ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Mark served as the Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In that capacity, he played a leadership role in all aspects of the organization’s success, including a five-year effort that improved margins by more than $250 million annually, which allowed investment in highly successful research and community programs.

He also oversaw and managed the Treasury function and increased cash and investments from $1.1 billion to $3.8 billion in seven years, while simultaneously achieving strategic objectives that resulted in improved patient outcomes, a wider footprint in community health and unprecedented research success.

Prior to his position at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Mark held executive financial positions with highly recognized corporations, like P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and PetSmart. During that time, he led efforts that transformed investor relations, helped to build and leverage new infrastructure, and maximized profits, all while minimizing risk. Mark received his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Arizona State University, joined the public accounting firm Deloitte and Touche, and earned his CPA. Active in the startup and entrepreneurial community, he served on the board of directors of Cintrifuse, an innovation hub, and health-tech firms Cincytech and Enable Injections. He is a past board member of the Arizona Miss America organization and the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce.
