Martha McGill serves as President, Central Florida Region, and a member of the Florida Executive Cabinet reporting to the enterprise Chief Operating Officer. She is based in Orlando and joined ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ in 2015.

In addition to hospital operations, Martha is responsible for building and integrating ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ network of practice sites and partnerships across Florida. Florida’s Network Operations Chief Medical Officer, Nursing, Service Delivery and Innovation, Strategy and Business Development, Physician and Patient Network Operations, and Practice Administration report to her.

Martha brings more than 30 years of clinical operations and executive leadership experience in service line and program growth and development, margin improvement, physician enterprise management, merger and acquisition integration and government relations to her role at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.

Prior to joining ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Martha served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH), a 289-bed acute care, regional referral hospital. Her tenure in Miami included leading the development of key service lines, the creation of a physician enterprise leadership and governance organization, modernization of the organization’s business infrastructure and support for MCH’s third Magnet accreditation. Martha was also responsible for Miami Children’s business development and relationship management with health systems in the greater South Florida region. Employing LEAN health care techniques, while at MCH, Martha led the organization’s continuous improvement work. MCH was also the only children’s hospital in Florida ranked in all 10 pediatric subspecialty categories by U.S. News & World Report. Martha earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Valdosta State University. She earned her master's degrees in Business Administration and Health Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Prior to joining Miami Children’s, Martha served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) at Egleston, a 255-bed acute care hospital that under her leadership returned to exceeding budgeted margin consistently. While at CHOA at Egleston, she led the development of the service line structure and strategy for growing cardiology, hematology/oncology and solid organ transplant programs, which became among the largest programs of their kind in the nation.

Martha also served in a key role with the successful merger and integration of Atlanta’s Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center with Egleston Children’s Hospital, creating one of the nation’s largest pediatric health systems. With Martha’s leadership, Egleston exceeded revenue and growth projections.

Her tenure with CHOA also included serving as president of the 60-bed, aging, Hughes Spalding acute care facility in the city of Atlanta, and leading its turnaround and eventual integration with CHOA. Recognizing the importance of Hughes Spalding to the community it served, Martha developed a 10-year plan to ensure the hospital’s long-term viability. Eventually, she led the capital campaign to build a replacement hospital, ensuring that vital services remained available for children in the community.
