Get to Know Me
I am a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and a clinical assistant professor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College. When I’m not at work, I am most likely spending time with my husband and our two daughters.Â
Why I Treat Children
Children have a particular innocence and resilience that motivates me in the work I do. I love that in pediatrics there is a constant team effort to foster positivity and joy. I am in awe of the incredible strength of my amazing patients.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about providing exceptional care to my patients and bringing novel, effective therapies to the bedside. I specialize in taking care of children with leukemia as well as children who need a stem cell transplant or cellular therapy.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I understand that I am meeting my patients and families on what seems like the worst day of their lives. I honor the difficult journey that they are about to undertake and the role I have in leading them on that journey. I make every effort to spend time with patients and families, making sure they have all the information they need regarding a diagnosis and treatment plan and that they know there is no question they can’t ask me. I also involve myself with research at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ in an effort to make sure that we are providing novel therapies to our current patients, as well as advancing the field for future patients.Â
