Get to Know Me
I’ve always enjoyed puzzles and the satisfaction once a puzzle is completed. That is one reason that attracted me to the field of pediatric neurology, specifically epilepsy. It’s heart-warming when the puzzle pieces fit together and I’m able to help my patients understand their neurological disorder so we can work as a team to find the best treatment plan.ÂWhy I Treat Children
I love working with children because they are honest and resilient. When they smile and laugh, the world just lights up. I chose my field of pediatric neurology because of my fascination with the brain, in particular the plasticity of a young brain where timely treatment can have an impact on the child’s cognitive future.ÂWhat I'm Passionate About
I’m passionate about helping my patients and their families attain the best quality of life, and to achieve this requires a trusting partnership and teamwork between my team, my patients and their families. I have special interest in the treatment of intractable epilepsy, and am very familiar with the use of dietary therapies, neurostimulation and epilepsy surgery in the treatment of epilepsy.ÂHow I Try to Make A Difference
Few people know a child better than the child’s caretaker. So I always try to listen and work together as a team with my patients and their caretakers. I strive to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations and treatment options to provide my patients the best care possible so they can live life to its fullest.ÂEducation & Training
