Get to Know Me
As a kid, I enjoyed science, particularly biology. I also had a strong desire to help people, which is why I chose medicine. Today, my expertise is in child abuse pediatrics, where I medically evaluate children for abuse or neglect, and help differentiate accidental from inflicted (abusive) injuries.
Why I Treat Children
During my first year in medical school, I was fortunate to get to know Dr. Lee Salk, a well-known child psychologist. His influence stimulated my interest in the physical and emotional well-being of children. From then on, after working with remarkably resilient children, I know I made the right choice.
What I'm Passionate About
I’m passionate about preventing accidental and abusive childhood injuries. I like to help improve parenting skills and talk about effective and appropriate discipline.
