ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Children's Bariatric Surgery Registry

What is the trial about?

The goal of this registry is to collect information on patients seen in the Weight Management Clinic who have expressed interest in bariatric (Weight Loss) surgery.

Who can participate?

This study is for males and females who attend the Weight Management program at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, who have expressed interest in bariatric surgery and are candidates based on the National Institutes of Health rules for bariatric surgery.

What is involved?

The study will last as long as your child is being seen in the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ adolescent bariatric program or until they reach their twenty-first birthday. This study is limited to medical record review. There will be no additional visits or time in clinic because of participation in this registry.

This study is limited to medical record review. Information that may be collected as a part of this study include but may not be limited to height and weight, X-rays, fitness testing , nutrition assessments,  psychological questionnaires, results of routine blood and urine tests and results of testing by any consultants.
