Clinical Trial

Offered by: ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Children's
Location: Delaware Valley

Trial Name

National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative

What is the trial about?

In this research study we want to learn more about improving the treatment and outcomes for patients who have a diagnosis of a single ventricle, such as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) or similar heart defects.

Who can participate?

This research will include patients with a single ventricle, or a similar heart defect.

What is involved?

We will collect information about each child until he or she is approximately 15 months of age.

This is an observational study that will collect information about your child. This research will create a database of information about treatment and outcomes for infants who have a diagnosis of a single ventricle (such as HLHS) using data collected from your child’s medical record and/or from surveys collected during the time from diagnosis to approximately 15 months of age. The information may be used to help us understand an infant’s response to surgery and medical treatment and may be used to improve treatment and outcomes for children with a single ventricle.
